Mudbox won't open any files! :( please help

Hello everyone!

 

I am trying to send a Maya file in Mudbox but it won't send. I keep getting the error:

I have tried saving the file as fbx and opening it from Mudbox, but I get the same error. I think there is something wrong with the Mudbox application. If someone could help I would be very grateful!

I am using OSX Yosemite and 2015 Autodesk.
