Mudbox UV problem/ Maya UV Problem

Ok so ive come across a problem that I have no clue how to fix. I have a simple polygon that I unfolded in maya and the uvs seem fine as I will provide screenshots, but when I import it into mudbox it shows different uvs as if there were imaginary points floating in space. Ive selected all vertices and deleted them, ive filled holes so i dont know what else i can do. MayaMayaMudboxMudbox

Try this way

first send your mesh to mudbox

than

export your mesh from maya as .fbx for uv map in mudbox (but leave triangles checkbox off)

after that in mudbox

import uv

Thanks for the reply but nothing changed. I dont know which specific
triangles box you are mentioning but i did make sure the "triangulate" box
was unchecked

Or maybe your scene is broken
Try to send your mesh to new scene (in maya)
Than try in mudbox

Hi there,

The problem was the nGons in the scene (faces with more than 4 edges). Mudbox doesn't like those, and in general they're a bad idea. Fix those in the Maya scene using the Multi-cut tool or Connect as per the attached image, and you'll be fine.
