Combine CAD with MUdbox

I have a school project.

I need to create a 3D techinical model then mold it creatively, then print a 3D model of the design.

Any ideas as to what software and tools to use for creating the drawing then importing to Mudbox (or other)?

The design is a rectangular bar shape with a few slots... pretty simple but precise.

The surface molding involves bends and curves that must be done freehand.

Thank you,

Dave

Hi, there.

I think you can create your model by Autodesk Fusion 360 or Autodesk Inventor.  Both of them can create 3D model and send to 3D print.

Fusion has the ability on Freeform modeling & sculpting
