Motionbuilder 2016 what keys/mouse to rotate, pan, zoom view in Perspective view

Hi

Trying to find the answer to this, it doesn't seem to be anywhere in the manual.

On my computer, sometimes I can rotate the view, sometimes it won't work. I wonder if I'm doing something wrong so I need a sanity check

I don't like the like controls at the top of the window so would rather use mouse/ keyboard.

Sometimes I cannot select anything in the perspective view either. 

- would like to know the difference between the different interaction modes too.

Depends on the interaction mode you have chosen. Interaction Mode are based on hotkeys familiar to you based on other 3D applications.

For Maya Interaction it is:

Alt + LMB = Rotate Viewport

Alt + RMB = Dolly Viewport (In and Out)

Alt + MMB = Pan Viewport

The default set-up is:

SHIFT+LMB for pan

CTRL+LMB for zoom

CRTL+SHIFT+LMB for orbit
