Kinect 1.0 on MotionBuilder 2019

Hello!

I currently have a student license to MotionBuilder 2019 and Maya 2019. I'm trying to capture with a Kinect from my Xbox 360 but cannot find the template for the device. Is there a file from the 2015 version I need or is it just it possible to capture with a Kinect on the 2019 edition?

Yes you can use it.  Follow this tutorial.  I just fixed mine as well with the same thing.  motionbuilder 2018

Hi, I'm also wondering. Is there any update on this? The plugin does come with 2018 but not 2019 and the 2018 version does not work in 2019 (I tried manually copying).

You can have both 2019 and 2018 installed side-by-side. My suggestion would be to perform your Kinect cap in 2018, then load into 2019 when you're ready to edit.

The 2019 version shifted the SDK from Visual Studio 2015 to VS2017, and evidently migrating the Kinect plugin with its aging SDK for the few people that still use it wasn't a justifiable use of dev resources at Autodesk.
