Influence of surface treatment on flow resistance

Hi all

first question to Autodesk Team:
is there any research done to investigate the influence on flow direction, pressureloss and so on of surface treatment as polishing, direction of polishing, graining, 
based on that findings is there any plan to implement the influence of surface treatment into the solver?

Question to Comunity:
has anyone done some investigation on this topic or has some experience and can share this experience?
do you think there is even a significant impact or can it be neglected anyway?

Thank you for raising such interesting question. There is no specific option to account for mold surface finishing in the current commercial release of Moldflow. About plans for the future, I'm afraid I cannot provide any feedback.

@community: i want to add or clarify that i am aware that graining adds some thickness to the cavity (based on the graining up to (max)0.2mm), and therefore the flow behaviour is changed.
but i am only interested in the impact of surface finish without changing the actual thickness significantly.
any input or experience would be appreciated.
