Cooling analysis without out using the cooling channel wizard

How do you create part models with your own cooling channel design?

Hi aicram22,

Without going through a lesson with you, there is a procedure in the Moldflow Help.
Type in 'cooling' in the search and look for 'Cooling lines, creating manually (Procedure)'

You can also import curves via IGES from your cad package and assign the cooling properties.

Cheers

HI aicram22,

I would create lines where you want the cooling channels. Keep in mind that if you have baffles you will need either two lines on top of each other or model it as an upside down "V" with a small space (~2mm) at the base. Once you have the lines modeled where you want them, assign properties and mesh them.

Also, as mentioned earlier you can import .Iges data of the curves and simply assign properties and mesh it.

hi george,
thank you for your answer,
but when I import the iges the date, MPI imports the file in a new study, but how can I merge with part (in the same study of the part)?

otherwise, I can import the iges data of cooling circuit, model this channel and after merge in the study part, but I don't understand how to fuse this study.
