While comparing multiple studies with different cases/ iterations, we compare results by examining/ plotting path plots.
If the nodes/element numbers are renumbered, it becomes difficult to use the same set of nodes to be examined.
In case we renumber all, we wont be able to compare the same nodes. The temporary solution is we end up selecting same set of nodes across all studies(having different node/element numbers) which is a time huge consuming task in case of several path plots.
I would suggest that once we renumber the mesh or create new entities (mesh or elements) the old nodes/elements shouldnt loose their number, instead the entities created new will be only added.
