Meshmixer won't download

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have been trying to download meshmixer version 3.5 for windows but the install on the website doesn't seem to be working. When I click on the download button nothing happens. I am not sure if this is a problem on my end and would love some help.

Meshmixer.com still doesn't load.

So has the day come where everybody was affraid of when Autodesk bought Meshmixer and updates were stopped a few years ago? I don't hope so..

Or is this just temporary?

An inelegant 403 seems like an easy-to-tweak server configuration issue, but it's been about a week and Autodesk is clearly in no rush to fix. The dead usually get a proper burial, a screen that says "Hey y'all, we're dead, so long and thanks for all the fish" or whatever. But this demonstrates how much Autodesk cares, as if we needed any more proof. Remember the unceremonious way they strangled Slicer for Fusion 360? Same lack of update followed by POOF with no warning. Autodesk: the serial killer of innovation.

Meshmixer.com is on again and downloads should work as expected again. Also: The links are https now. So browsers requesting https should not throw out an error anymore.

Thanks.

Good to hear!

You have anything to do with this fix?

Not at all. Think this issue was related to some changes at the AutodeskResearch sites...
