Is there someone out there that can give me some pointers on how to design quicker for a particular design I am doing? I am willing to do a screen share.

here is my current work flow can you help be get faster and more well defined?
You might try a workflow based on PlaneCut to get a straight bracket:
It might be necessary to do Remesh or Reduce before.

Thank you MagWeb this has helped a ton! last question is how do I measure the length of just the Hook? (see attached picture) for example if I need the part that wraps around the nostril and goes in the nose to be 10mm how do I define that measurement?
Before doing the cut on the interior surfaces (9th image above) use EDIT/Align to move the piece to the ground plane:
(You might use EDIT/Transform to move/rotate it so the base grid intersects the object where you want the measurement's start plane)
Now select the interior groups as in image 9(above) and do SELECT/Edit/PlaneCut.
Make sure that snapping is on (the small S circle needs to be green - if not: Click it) , also the A circle (absolute coordinates) and the W circle (World frame).
Now dragging an arrow you'll see snapping increments. If needed, refine the increments using the up/down arrows on your keyboard.
