What is the workflow for importing point cloud to use with arnold stand ins ?

Hi,

I have some vegetation that I've created as stand ins already .

and I've created some points clouds in houdini.

What is the current workflow to bring either alembic or vdb point clouds into to maya to use them as a placer of stand ins?

Mash does it, but not by saving the point clouds and loading points clouds.

Can anyone point me a direction of a good workflow in maya ?

Using Houdini or Clarisse doesn't count 🙂
