Urgent - Parts of my model are invisible?

I urgently need help with this situation. Parts of my robot and scene are appearing strangely invisible when I import into Marmoset or Substance painter and I have no idea how to fix it. I've looked into backface culling, which sort of fixes the problem in Marmoset, but the materials don't apply properly so it's not useful to me as I need a super glossy material.

I've also looked at the 'normals' but honestly I don't know where to start.

I've attached my file in the hopes that someone with experience can help me or even better, fix it. as I'm very much a beginner. The model appears fine in the viewports in Maya. The parts affected include the head pieces and some of the scene.

I've asked two of my senior lecturers at uni and none of them can fix it, and I'm afraid my grade will suffer. 😞

Hi!

Avoid having scale on your Transform node. If you don't really need it, all Scale values of a Transform node should be [1 1 1].
Select all Components (like Vertices or Faces) and scale them for modeling or use Freeze Transformations ("Scale") after you scaled the object with a global scale.

Hi - does this answer directly link to the problem I'm having or is it just an observation you've made? Thanks anyhow though!

I just realised that I had scaled some of my objects wrong and they were inside out and they were all in the minus figures in the scale section. It meant my materials etc were applying weirdly - it's fixed now!

Thank you so much! 🙂

Hi!

That's a general advice to avoid problems like in your case (you even have negative scale values).

So yes, this is the problem in your scene and my suggestion will solve it.

(Did you not test it with your problematic objects?)

I did test it but I'm a bit of a beginner at this so it took me a few mins to figure it out. Thank you! Hope to be better at this some day lol
