Hello everyone,
I was just wondering if there's some way how to make standins visible in playblast? I mean the actual mesh that is in a scene as standin. I'm using Maya 2018.

Hi,
Thank you for yoour advice. I ment how to see the actual object fully textured. All of the options in draw mode are only wireframe preview or texture without colour, but thank you any way it helped a bit as I didn't had any idea about Draw mode options. 🙂
Hi!
You are right that a textured View is not available, but to be fair, the main purpose to use Arnold StandIns is to lighten the scene-file and enhance Viewport performance.
So if you want a full preview inside Maya, don't use Arnold StandIns.
There are enough other options:
Scene / Viewport Speed Up:
1. Split your scene into several Display Layers and hide all objects you are not currently working at or change their display (for example to bounding box).

3. Clamp Texture Resolution or disable Hardware Texturing in Viewport.

Hi,
thank you so much! I'm hearing for the first time about most of these options. This is brilliant.
Thank you for your help. 🙂
