I'm trying to set up a connection to the servers for my computer to render in Mental Ray as a render farm. I'm on a pc, and using maya 2014 still. There's already a network setup at my work, but they don't use mental ray, and I need to figure out how to add it. I've been following the documnetation from autodesk, but have been getting lost or confused.
I downloaded mental ray satellite 2014 for my computer and for the server, but I don't know how to alter the maya.env file, or the mentalray.mod file. I'm also having issues with the rayhost file, and getting the slaves and the master to communicate.
