Rotate Reflections in Arnold

Hi guys, this problem is driving me insane...

I'm using Arnold, and have a character with thick sunglasses and I would like the reflections to appear rotated like you often see in cartoons, as in this drawing:

However, with the aiStandardSurface material I'm using, I've only been able to obtain this type of a reflection (I've got two lights pointing at the character):

I've tried playing around with the IOR, Anisotropy and Rotation values but have not achieved the desired look...

Is there any way to rotate the reflections?

Wish you all the best

Hi!

With "real" lighting you can use the material Attribute "Anisotropy".

If you skip the idea of using a "real" reflection you can use any solution you want, like

- textures and/or

- aiToon

Thanks man! Made a lot of progress thanks to that tip!

Only problem is that the reflections appear distorted around the edges of the glasses as you can see here (I also included the reflection map):

Is there a way to make them look even throughout to your knowledge?

Hi!

Use "Projection" for the texture.

This give you full manual control on the placement and look.
