Hi,
I have a question regarding rendering a sequence with Maya.
When I render a still in Arnold renderer, it takes about ~30 minutes to render, which is fine.
But then I launch a Render Sequence in Render View with the exact same settings (starting on the same exact frame) and my render time expands to 2 hours per frame.
Is this supposed to be normal? Can I adjust something in Render View, to get it to render the sequence faster?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

What does the Arnold log say?
Set the verbosity level to debug.

Hi,
Thank you for taking the time!
I attached the log file after the render. Can you make something of it?

I cant see anything special. Maybe @Stephen.Blair can find something?
I don't see 2 hours per frame.
Three frames were rendered: 11 min, 35 min, and 36 min.
It's a 2 core machine?

Hi,
That was from another batch. I constantly render sequences and preview single frames and doing so I noticed
that the single frame render is much faster. So my actual question was; shouldn't it take equal amount of time to render images per frame one by one and in sequence?
for example: from the 3 images you see in the log, the 11 min long render would probably be close to
a single frame render time. But why do the 2 others take more than twice as long?
Shouldn't they be about 10 min as well?
I have an nVIDIA quadro 1000m.
It's hard to say because the logs from the interactive session are missing information.
Can you restart Maya before you do another render sequence?
And then, in the Arnold Render Settings, can you go to the Diagnostics tab:
If you're not using the latest MtoA, I would consider upgrading too.
