Arnold OptiX Denoiser Fails to Render All AOVs in Maya 2025 (GPU)

I'm encountering an issue when rendering with Arnold in Maya 2025 using GPU and the OptiX Denoiser.

Here's the setup and problem description:

  • My scene consists of 42 frames.
  • I'm using multi AOVs for compositing: RGBA, N, Z, AOCC, diffuse, coat, specular, transmission, and volume.
  • To denoise all AOVs, I specified *"RGBA or " in the Layer Selection field of the OptiX Denoiser attributes.
  • I followed the guidelines to set the output to EXR and turned Merge AOVs off.

The problem:

  1. Only RGBA, N, Z, and AOCC AOVs render correctly. The other AOVs (diffuse, coat, specular, etc.) either render corrupted files or do not appear at all.
  2. Rendering stops after just 1 frame for AOVs-enabled render layers.
  3. If I disable all AOVs and render only the Beauty (RGBA), it renders correctly from frame 1 to 42 across all frames.

I'm using GPU rendering with the OptiX Denoiser, and my settings include EXR output without Merge AOVs, as recommended in the documentation.

How can I resolve this issue and ensure that all AOVs are correctly denoised and rendered over the full frame range?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I don't think the layer selection is correct. Shouldn't it be just an asterisk (for all), or

RGBA or AOCC or diffuse or coat or specular or transmission

What's in the Arnold log for a render that stops?

I don't think you have to turn Merge AOVs off. Does it say that in the documentation somewhere?
