Maya 2020 freezes when sequence rendering with arnold.

I repeatedly tried to render a sequence of frames with Arnold and the program keeps freezing. I was trying to render multiple cameras at once and to render AOVs for Diffuse and speculator as well as the albedo, direct and indirect for each of them.

Every-time i do this, Maya freezes and becomes unreposive after rendering a a few or even on frame.

I am running Windows 10 and my PC secs are everything here :

Plus a GTX 1080 ti ( i'm not sure which one one )

Please help

Hello, I would suggest that you do passes one by one if Maya is getting stuck. This is probably because there is a lot going on with multiple cameras and passes being done. It seems like it would speed it up because it all gets done at once, but if it can't get through any of it, it will really set you back. It is actually faster if you do them individually sometimes, and this also depends on the resolution of your textures. Also, if you have AA cranked up or any other settings in Render settings, it will take more memory (Ram and VRam). In my experience, even high-end computers in my media class computer lab have trouble with rendering at great quality.

Rendering is a balance, like turning up  samples on lights instead or using AA could help. Raytracing is memory intensive too so if you are doing high-res shadows, this can really slow stuff down too, maybe reduce the ray count.

Just  few thoughts, good luck!
