Help With Alpha Chanel

Hello everyone my name is Victor 

I have triuble with alpha chanel, in maya  (arnold) I have some Planes , i applied a  texture with alpha chanel but all i get is a  black  square with texture , i have  unmarked the opaque option, but it just dont help i need it transparent because it is supouse to be leaves, please can someone help me to udnerstand how to properly render with alpha chanel.

Hi!

1. Don't confuse Alpha (TIF)  with Transparency (PNG)

2. Make sure to use an Arnold Material

3. Use File node and not PSDFile node.

For further help please upload the scene-file (+ the texture).

Hello, yeah , seems i was  ignoring to connect the alpha chanel in transparency now it Works ver ywell in render , but in the viewport is a back square, is not so important for now , but how could i have it working both , viewport and render  ?

i attach a screenshot, sorry i cant ipload file as it  belongs to my work Project. 

PS: is a very  low and quick IPR

Hello, Yrah i read that post, before it helped me for render but now i mean for  viewport, transparency Works with blinn, Albert, phong but not with ai standard Surface, Life for example a previs with playbast  it looks black  square, but in render is fine.

Correct, and therefore this is the solution (which also works for other renderers and shaders where a feature you need is not supported in Viewport 2.0):

"set one material for Maya and an other for Arnold"
