Right. As of MtoA 5.2.0 (Aug 2022), the Arnold Render View replaces the Maya Render View for Arnold rendering.

  • Arnold Render View by Default: The Maya Render View has been replaced with the Arnold Render View for Arnold Renders and IPR, except for Render Sequence (MTOA-1008)

This answer is from Autodesk ?

This means a renderer without its specific RenderView plugin is no longer renderable.
thats the case for Iray, not RedShift.

Change the current renderer, no? Then you get the render view that's available for that other renderer.

oh i see.

the renderView is no more a generic window but a call to the defaultRenderer from the Globals.
it means you set the renderer ( whatever the favorite in globals ) and open RenderView afterward.

you are right !  it is a design workflow change to my habit.
