Hi,

Maya just caused my computer to crash.

Upon re-opening it, I see that there are 4 processes going on in it(without me having opened up a scene) and it is using 638MB of disk space.

What is it doing?? how do I get it to stop all these host executables?638MB of internal memory being used by Maya when its in the idle state638MB of internal memory being used by Maya when its in the idle state

Hi,

To avoid your computer to crash, change your virtual memory to an other disk.

This may help.....

Hi!

This can happen. Just force it to be closed/removed by using "End Process" for the Maya.exe.

You should check for a still loaded process in Task Manager after every crash of any software.
