QT misses in playblast Maya 2016

In Maya 2016 in playblast I cannot select the option QT.

I use a Mac and I red the article: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/maya/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Maya-2015...

But since I am not an IT person, with this information I really don't know which step to take next.

Can anybody help me with this?

The security flaws in Quicktime means that a lot of places don't allow for its installation, but you can download the installer and do a custom installation of the essentials such as the codecs (H,264 for instance) but not the player/viewer. Then you should be able to make H,264 play blasts.

Maybe I don't understand the answer right.. 😊

But I looked for codecs but still can't select QT from the dropdown menu n the playlist options....
