Please Help Me - Accidentally Deleted the Merging Vertices Tool

I was working on a torso by merging some vertices together and I needed to disconnect some of them but when I tired to do that I accidentally deleted the Merging Vertices tool. Why is deleting tools even an option?! you guys should get rid of that option, I really need that tool back so please respond to me as soon as possible! I am probably going to have a mental breakdown after sending this message.

I do not believe the tool was deleted. 

Where do you access it from? If it is from the "Poly Modeling" shelf, then you only deleted the shelf button shortcut and can still find it from the menu Edit Mesh->Merge menu.
