My faces and edges won't stay together when I extude.

Hi there, I hope someone can help me out. I have this issues where when I Extrude > Scale In > Extrude > Move Down my faces won't stay together with edges. The one on the left (not selected) was extruded with KeepFacesTogether off. The one on the right (is selected) was extruded with KeepFacesTogether on. I haven't ever messed with extrusion settings before, until now trying to solve this issues on my own.I haven't been able to find any similar situations to mine.

Hi!

The problem is that you already created additional faces at a previous step when you extruded the top faces (before you used scale in).

You need to use all extrude with Keep Faces Together enabled.

That worked! Thank you, but how do I keep KeepFacesTogether enabled? Every time I extrude, I notice it becomes disabled.

Hi!

There is a setting for this in Preferences:

Modeling -> Polygon -> Keep faces together
