Grid no longer displays in top view.

I can toggle the view on and off in the other 3 view ports, and it looks like it changed because the background changes, but the grid is not redrawn. Obscure setting or bug?

Hi!

Check Camera Attributes, Near Clip Plane and Far Clip Plan, or simply post the scene-file.

Check them for what?

Hi!

Please upload the scene-file, ( i don't need any objects if only the grid is affected)

May have just figured this out, but since I didn't change it in the first place I don't know where to go to fix.

Is it possible that the grid is so dense that it appears as a solid surface? Where do you go in this "UI" to check? Of course this assume you can change the grid size in a view-by-view basis. In all the other views grid displays as expected.

Hi!

The grid is the same for all views, but of course you can move your camera and the grid density changes with camera distance, it can also disappear if the camera is very far away (dependent on your grid settings).

Then Maya is broke because the zoom level is about the same for all views...

Hi!

What happens if you Zoom in and set the Viewport Renderer back to Viewport 2.0?

@Anonymous

This could be due to your camera clipping plane.  If that doesn't fix it, then try to reset your prefs. without access to your file, it is hard to tell what is going on.  not all the views have the same clipping plane defaults so please check that.  Make sure you have have the grid turned on as well (I assume you do, but worth the ask).

Then as others have mentioned, you might be past the Grid and zooming out might reveal it.  Good luck!

Hi.  My grid didn't show in front view and I simply pressed the A-KEY and F-KEY on KEYBOARD a few times and after a few secs the grid came back into view!
