Confusing shapes

So I'm currently trying to challenge myself with some personal projects outside work and I have been trying to recreate this shape form someones work on sketch fab- 

I don't even know were to begin, the way the cylinder on the left connects to this piece is even more daunting- i don't know where to begin. 

Any advice would be great- thank you

Well this will take some imaginations and knowledge how things work. Just try 😄 I tried something, here is about 5 minutes of work with 90% used only bevel.
