Problems to mirror object along x axis using Duplicate special

Hello!

I'm modelling in nurbs surfaces and I'd like to copy an object and having it mirrored along the x axis. Before mirroring it, I have moved the object around and changed the pivot (to center or else) various times in order to model it. When I want to apply duplicate special (to have a symmetrical copy of it along the x axis), I first changed the pivot to have it aligned to the x axis, but when I duplicate special (using scale -1.000 for the x axis) it doesn't do it correctly or it applies a random axis, or at least an axis that I can't control...

As you can see in the screenshots I modeled a flipper and I want to make a symmetrical one at the other side of the body axis.

Am I doing something wrong? Any advice will be very appreciated!

Hi!

Use Modify -> Freeze Transformations before creating the duplicate.
