Moving a duplicated polyshape

I used a female body model to duplicate the upper body in hopes of using it as a base for a jacket. It is now a separate mesh, but it's subdivided under the BaseFemaleBody in the outliner; the PolySufrace1 is the body and PolySufrace2 is the jacket. How can I make it so that the PolySurface2 is completely and utterly separate?

In the outliner, there is a silver block with a red arrow in it. I don't know what it means.

Sorry, I am very new to 3d modeling.

The safest way to do what you want is to first select the line with the red arrow, and click Edit->Delete by type->History. Then expand that group and select Polysurface1 and Polysurface2 and hit Shift+P to uparent them. You can then delete the empty group (The thing with the red arrow.)
