Hello, i've this issue where i cannot use "Duplicate Face" tool, due to a bug where when i try to move the duplicated face using the gizmo's arrow, Maya just freezes as you can see in the shared picture.

This happens when i try to edit simples primitives.

Thanks in advance for the assistance.

Try this:

Once you click Duplicate face/s, (do not pullout).

Shift+P to Un-parent , Delete History, Center Pivot.

You will see to objects in the Outliner. Then you can move the duplicated object.

the solution looks like it's working, but i don't think this should be how to use this tool, i'd like to find more solutions that let me use the tool as intended

you may check your graphics card whether it is Autodesk certified , update your driver ... to me it sounds like graphics card or driver issues

My graphic card is an Nvidia RTX 2060 Super, i don't know if it's compatible, but it looks like for the  normal one.

Btw, i'm going to delete and reinstall windows

AHa, the cheapest $ 5 mouse online is the best. MY advice to people is
do not pay $70 or $100 for those fancy mice. They don't even last more than
a cpl of years, I cannot even return them.
