suddenly some custom hotkeys stop working. some of them working, some - doesn't.

for example, the combination ALT + G works, but the combination ALT + 1, ALT + 2 , ALT + 3, ALT + 4 does not. meanwhile they're still binded properly in Hotkey Editor .

changing keyboard layout, CAPS on/off, restarting the program does not solve the problem. restarting the computer temporarily helps. after a while everything happens again.

that maya /facepalm 😒

p.s. please don't ever tell me that the problem is in Windows 10, instead of Maya buggy as ****

Still have this issue after 2 years. Keyboard hotkeys based on ALT are randomly disabled. All my other hotkeys work just fine, but some windows key combination disables the ALT ones and have to restart the whole machine to fix it, restarting is not a fix, only a bandaid.

In the Hotkey editor, I can see the commands when pressing my various hotkeys but once I press ALT - 1/2/3/4, nothing shows up, like Maya does not register the input at all.

It still MIGHT have some relation to Windows, particularly keyboard Language switch, which is Alt+Shift.. once I invoke language other than English, my most (if not all) hotkeys stop working. I am unaware of how it is on Mac.

seems to be it fixed in Maya 2022.2 (hope so), or just does not appear.

at least i didn't see this anymore after installing an update.

Still an issue, just had it happen now, I removed all other languages last year except the one from Windows and both Maya 2020 and 2022 both lost the hotkeys today.

I solved the problem opening Window > Settings/Preferences > Hotkey Editor select "maya default". wait the loading. save and close

This fixed it for me! I had just installed ngSkinTools and it changed the HotKeys over to whatever that plugin uses and disabled the Maya hotkeys. Going and putting them back to Maya Default fixed the issue. Thank you.
