It is possible to cut a geometry based on an opacity texture?

I need to cut a geometry based on a opacity texture. I know that I can use this texture to set the opacity and hide the black zones in the alpha texture but this is not what I want. I need to cut those polys. Anyone know how to do it or if there is a tool that can do this?

Thanks!

Hi, I've just download the trial version for Maya to try this feature but I don't find it anywhere. In the VRay menu -> Tools I can't see anything that match opacity cutout. Can you tell where it is exactly?

Thanks!

No, I dont want to convert a texture into poligons I want to cut the poligons that are in the black zone in a opacity map. I mean the invisible poligons. It is complicated to explain the use case but is a situation in which this invisible poligons are causing me issues that are unsolvable and I have to get rid of them. I have a lot of meshes with this issues and that´s why I´m looking for an automated solution. Doing it by hand is not an option.

I don't know why but I don't have that option there. Also in the documentation does not exist neither. The tools in the link are the tools that I have.

I finally found the option. The last version of VRay that is on the web to install dont have this feature. I had to go to the Chaos Forum and download the last version which is a beta. This is the link to the VRay version with the opacity cutout feature.
