Inner surface of objects in Maya is appearing as black

I am new in maya animation.. i have installed maya student version 2015 and in this version the inner sides of objects are colored as black although they were not black in maya 2011.

How can i remove that inner black colour.. please help.. thanks in advance

Go to the Lighting menu at the top of the viewport and turn on Two Sided Lighting.
