Easy... First right click on the curve and select the curve point mode.
then select the spot where you want to insert a curve point. With the dot select go to the surfaces menu (hotkey = f4) to edit curves -> insert knot and voila.
For the tutorials: Did you check out Digital Tutors? they have a very wide range of tutorials for Autodesk Software and more (just for maya they have more than 5000 single lessons!)
The subscription prices are also rather cheap compared to some other sites.

Also I could help you out in further problems if you need it 🙂 just send a Message

From the Curves Menu.... go to Rebuild curve option and increase the Value.

The other process works too. Right Click and choose Curve Point. Left click on the Curve where you want to add a CV,

Then from Curves menu open the option box of Insert Knots. You will have all the option to add one or Multiple CVs.

For adding multiple CVs you have to add 2 points and from Insert knots chews in between and add multiple CVs.

Nothing easy about that! Two different menus to issue one solution... On one, it's called point, on the other, knot... No wonder I always forget how to do it. Only from Autodesk...

Remember to share your knowledge. That's good for everyone!

autodesk did it again and again.
Is it so difficult to give people a clear, intuitive tool?
