Create Object at location of 3D cursor

On blender there is a 3D cursor that allows you to create an object at its location. Is there anything similar to this tool on Maya 2018? Is there any way I can create an object at the location of my cursor rather than have it spawn in the center of the grid?

There is no 3d cursor like in Maya.

but there are ways to do that.

Create>Locator

move Locator whatever you want

Create Polygon Primitives>check Interactive Creation>Hold v key to snap to Locator and click.image.png

You can make your object LIVE then Interactive Creation on. Now you can create any object anywhere on that live object object Once you are done turn back the object make live off
