Apply letters on a modeled keyboard in Maya using UV

Hello,

I have a picture of a keyboard with letters and I modeled a laptop in Maya. I know how to apply each letter on each button separately using UV,but it takes way to much time. Is there any way to make it faster? Thank you

Not sure how you UV mapped your keyboard, but you could just select the top faces of the keys and then planar map from the Y axis and just move the faces around to match your keyboard texture

Here's a super quick keyboard mapping, only took a couple minutes. You might want to spend a little bit more time on it 🙂

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, I'm new to Maya. Can you please share step by step instructions on how you created the mapping. Thank you
