Support industry-standard version control like git or svn

Maybe MAYA already has its own version control mechanism to support team work which I am not aware of. But in software industry, there are standard version control protocols like git or svn. These standards have been incorporated in many software like Visual Studio or JetBrains' IDE product, not to mention the big repository like github. So I hope MAYA could incorporate these industry-standard version control protocols like git or svn into its future version, because I'm sure more people are familiar with or willing to learn them than MAYA's own way of version control.

I agree. I've worked with GitHub and SourceTree before on small Unity projects and it is such a valuable resource and saves storage space on the user's end when trying to have an organized version control system. Maya users would really benefit from not having to have to keep multiple versions of a project on their computer in case anything goes wrong.

You're right. Maya doesn't natively support industry standard version control systems like Git or SVN. While it has basic versioning tools and can integrate with pipeline tools like ShotGrid or Perforce, these aren't as flexible or widely adopted as Git. Many teams use external Git or SVN systems to manage scripts and assets, but built-in support would make collaboration easier and align Maya with standard software development workflows. Your suggestion makes a lot of sense for future improvements.
