Modelers want a quick and easy way to generate 3D pipes or wires in Maya.
"Please have a proper way to create pipe or tube that don't flip! With all the method available in maya, extrude a nurbs curve, paint effect convert to poly or whatever, none will be able to give a pipe or tube that won't flip once the direction of the curve break and the normal of the curve must change..this is annoying this problem doesn't exist in max, XSI, modo or any other apps I know! it should be addressed! thanks"
"Complex tubing and pipe geometry can be a pain to implement/model quickly in Maya. Could you Please look into adding a check box or something to that effect similar to 3dsmax, where an artist can position curves and then hit [make geometry] and a function to choose between geometry type (Poly/Nurbs/subD) and have some tessellation options."
