There is a lot of untapped potential when it comes to scene assemblies.
Being able to switch so easily between a proxy, lo-res, and render rig is really nice with scene assemblies. But even though you can set keys on an assembly referenced rig, nothing else functions like normal. You can't make animation layers, you can't make display layers, you can't mute keys, you can't bake keys, etc. Why is this? If scene assemblies are made to improve viewport functionality, why have them unusable when it comes to animation?
Also, the documentation on scene assemblies is very minimal. If these features aren't/won't be included, then a proper warning should be placed very clearly on any page pertaining to scene assemblies.
