The view cube was always very helpful to quickly navigate multiple views Often times, I need access to all 6 orthographic views. Right now, I have to add cameras for left, rear and bottom and I can't quickly switch between them all. I have no idea why this was not supported in Viewport 2.0 or why it was removed. Please add this back.
Yes, please bring back the viewcube. I don't understand why it was taken away in the first place. If the intention was to clean up the viewport, then it could be added as a preference. It is one of the most important tools for navigation in every other program out there, and if you do a lot of architectural work, it's like trying to use Maya with 2 fingers and one eye. It's just very difficult to jump through hoops for simple camera orientation without it, and I have tried to bring this same issue up in numerous forums but so far no luck for even a simple "we'll consider" this so bravo AD!!! Please, help us!!!!!!!
Thanks for submitting and voting on this idea. The ViewCube is now back in Maya 2022.1, shown by default in all viewports. It can now be hidden easily with a right-click.
