xGen issue

Hello everyone,

I am posting a message here because I am having xGen problems, when I generate hair some of them go threw the mesh from under and I am not sure why, I saw a post here already saying it might be because there aren't enough guides or no region map, but I used both and don't understand why it goes threw. Here are some screenshots to show you the problem. Has anyone experienced this before ? Sorry if someone already answered to this but I didn't find anything that helped.

Thank you very much for reading .

Hi @mccall.francesca and welcome to the community!

Do you have collisions enabled for the Xgen hair and the mesh?

It looks like the hair is all working fine but its just simply falling through the mesh.

Try setting up collisions and see if that changes anything!

Hello again, sorry for the late reply.

When I used my grab brush I had the collision enabled, but then when I add the hair some go threw, but I don't want to make them go out of the mesh by hand directly on the hair because it messes up my work with the guides ?

Hi @mccall.francesca

I think you would have to move them that way but you could just carefully tweak them until they're at the desired point.

Enabling collisions does work though yes?
