Xgen Archives without Mental Ray

I use Arnold as my default renderer, and I do not install Mental Ray on my system. When trying to export x-gen archives, I get the following error in my log:

AbcExport v1.0 using Alembic 1.5.4 (built May 8 2014 13:47:10)
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "C:/Program Files/Autodesk/Maya2016/plug-ins/xgen/scripts/xgenm/xmaya/xgmArchiveExportBatch.py", line 166, in <module>
sys.exit( main( len(sys.argv), sys.argv ) )
File "C:/Program Files/Autodesk/Maya2016/plug-ins/xgen/scripts/xgenm/xmaya/xgmArchiveExportBatch.py", line 153, in main
cmds.loadPlugin(p)
RuntimeError: Plug-in, "Mayatomr", was not found on MAYA_PLUG_IN_PATH.

Is there any way to export an xgen archive without installing Mental Ray?

The issue seems rectified.

I tested in 2016 SP2 >Windows.

I turned off my "MayatoMR" in the plug-in manager prior to testing.

Thanks.

I have the same problem but I can't understand how to solve it. I don't have Mentalray installed and it seems Xgen doesn't export archives without it. Anyone can help ?

Thank you

Add the path to the project to the File Data Path, it can be an absolute path or relative. You can have several ; seperated paths and xgen will look thruogh them in order till it finds what it needs. Files will be save to the first location it can resolve.
