could you upload a repro scene...?
i never saw this issue...
No time to repro.
In this image you can see the UV window, the faces selected in the viewport - which shows the solid texture colour incorrectly mapped onto the faces - and the resulting render which is fine. notice the 'stripe' on the right side in the viewport and on the left in the render.
Using Vray shaders.
and how should i help you only from this image..?
i would like to but if i cant have the object i wont be able to find out whats happening... sorry...
well my rates are $60 per hour if you want me to make another scene so you can open it look at the exact same stuff in the image I posted before you pass it on to someone who can actually do something about it.
You can't repro, great! It's suggests the issue is probably specific to Vray. I'm not expecting any more from you. I'm posting (as I say in heaps of my posts that get snarky responses from the support staff) so that others who get this issue can know that it is perhaps not isolated to their own setup. Someone who has had this issue before may even suggest an answer, that's what forums are for.
im not a support staff... just a regular user...
i use vray every day 8h in production and never saw such an issue... without a scene i cant find out whats goin on...
sorry it was not my intention to get you angry...
everything makes me angry - apologies for jumping down your throat and thank you for offering to help. For what it's worth I think this is related to setup/preferences/drivers. I don't think this will be specific to a scene file.
This is most likely a GPU issue but out of curiosity, if you create a basic object with the same shader on it does the same flipping occur?
Also, if you export that model and import it into a new scene does anything change?

I have reproduced this on different objects and different scenes, the flipping only occurs with the diffuse channel.
What file type is the diffuse texture? I vaguely remember an issue in the past where sometimes using Tif files would cause a flip.
Also, can you check the uv shell/faces and see if they're flipped at all?

PNG for all image files. EXR for displace. Redshift and Arnold are fine, only happens with Vray.
To paraphrase the answer on Chaos forums.
This is reproducible with the "OpenGL legacy" profile. Use "OpenGL core compatibility" to correct.
Thanks man, this was driving me crazy. Still an issue June 2019 Maya 2019, Vray Version NEXT Update 1
