When I tap the space bar to go between the 4-view panel and then tap again to maximize a specific panel, it no longer does anything. Instead something called 'Zoom in view' gets turned on. I've tried the 'delete Prefs and re-open' trick, and nothing, I've also tried to look into the hotkeys but I don't know the original hotkey command (its already labelled as 'toggle zoom in mode').
I have failed at googleing this and could really use the help, what have I unknowingly done/clicked to make this happen?

Basically you have an old keyboard, you can fix the issue by quickly hitting/tapping all the keys on your keyboard for a bit (especially the Ctrls Shifts and Alts), that will hopefully get the keys unstuck and you can go back to using your keys as you expect.
If you changed hotkeys delete the preferences folder before launching maya to go back to the default ones, or possibly use the reset preferences to default option within the program (If you know the folder location, that is faster).
Hi!
Please test what @giancarlo.rivas suggested.
Test hardware and then a reset of the preferences (re-naming folder option).
Hi!
Unlikely, especially as you stated "it no longer does anything", so i assume it worked before and now does not anymore, without being aware of any changes to the system.
Or have their been any changes?
