Possible to layout 1 mesh per tile using one single object?

Hi guys!

I'm super new to Maya and I'm loving it.

I have a question: is it possible to have one object with multiple separate meshes (like on the attached image), and to 'layout' one mesh per UV tile without having to manually move the UV? Like I can just click "Layout" and it'll automatically center the UV of the selected mesh on the tile that I want?

Thanks!

Hi!

In Layout Setting just enter the amount of UV Tiles you wan to use and the UV shells will be distributed to individual tiles.

You can also use the Transform node to move individual shells to other tiles with just a few clicks.

Hi! Thank you, but where do I select how many tiles I want to use? I'm not finding that option.

Thanks!

Oooh! It was on the UV Layout menu! I was in the UV workspace and wasn't able to find that option.
Many thanks! You're a life saver! ❤️
Have a great day
