Let's say I have Camera A and Camera B.
I'm using Camera A as my static camera to render from, and Camera B as my perspective camera to move around.
- Camera B has unchecked the Renderable option from it's attributes under output settings, Camera A has it enabled.
- Camera A is listed as the only Renderable Camera under render settings, in the common tab.
Therefore it would be completely normal to assume Maya would only render from Camera A, and I don't blame you, it sounds like common sense, but this is not the case.
If I'm moving around my scene using Camera B and hit render, it outputs a render from Camera B besides from Camera A, it's basically rendering from the camera being currently used, if I switch to left view and hit render, it renders from the left camera.
Why is that happening and how do I force Maya to render from a specific camera?
