Node Editor, dont know how to close/hide

SOOO, I'm relatively new to Maya and I am currently using Maya 2017 for school. While working on a project, I accidently hit a key (or combination of keys) that opened up the Node Editor and Shape Editor on the lower half of my screen. It's talking up a ton of visual space and I don't know how to close it down or hide it. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Anonymous and welcome to the community!

I remember doing stuff like this all the time when I first started using Maya as well 

If you Right Click the Tab of the opened window you can select 'Close Tab' and you should be all set!

Sorry for the delayed reply. It fixed my issue with the box covering the screen. Thank you!
