Mesh Tools dropdown menu missing...

Hi!

So I have an Educational version of Maya 2015 through my school, but for some reason my copy is missing Mesh Tools in the menu. I still have the Modeling Toolkit in the right menu, but I can't find the tool I'm currently looking for, Create Polygon Tool, in that menu.

Does anyone know how I can get my Mesh Tools back?

Alternatively, where else I can find the Create Polygon Tool.

Hey I had the same problem as you, I went under the menu set drop down menu where for you it says polygons, click that then go to customize. A window will open called the menu set editor go to edit then click restore default menu sets which should bring back the mesh tools menu. Hope it works!

Clear explanation:

On the most TOP and the most LEFT corner of Maya window there is really small menu. It looks like one thin row with one word in it and has small arrow (pointing down) in it's right end. 

When you click on the arrow, the menu drops down and you see a list there:

- animation

- polygons

- surfaces 

...

Choose "polygons" for all of the nessesary MESH menus to appear.
