I'm having this weird issue where Maya keeps creating this double Outliner situation:
The only way I've found to be able to remove the second Outliner is to select 'Single Perspective' from the Hotbox menu, but when I do that, the contents of the first Outliner disappear and I don't know how to get it back:
I've already gone through resetting the 'prefs' folder in my user documents folder a bunch of times already. Is this some weird bug? It's driving me crazy.

This is pretty unusual and I haven't seen it before.
Does this happen across multiple scene files?
If you close both Outliner windows by right clicking on where it says Outliner and hitting Close tab then open one by going to Windows->Outliner what happens?
