Hey guys, my Maya is not working correctly. No matter how and when i open the software it show a grey screen maya grey screen.PNGthat eventually turns white.. Maya not working.PNGI can´t load anything in the software, I can see that the object that I am trying to open is there, but i cant see anything... I feel like I have done everything in my power to get this working, but i cant seem to find the problem, i am very close to giving up.. I have already tried changing the viewports, and I have tried reinstalling the software a dosen times, whit no luck, I even went so far to reset my computer to factory settings twice, with no luck. (The problem with Maya is a problem I experience with all autodesk products) (It has worked before on this computer btw)

Hi @Anonymous

What GPU are you using and does the driver version match with our certified hardware list?

You can find our certified hardware list here!

And by changing the viewports do you mean going from Directx to OpenGL?

Hello @sean.heasley my GPU is NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 970M (I cant seem to find a tested GPU for GTX 970M?), and the version is 419.35. Which i can see dont add up with the tested GPU´s, but Autodesks products has worked on this computer before?
and yes by changing the viewports I mean to go from OpenGL to DirectX

Hi @Anonymous

It looks like Nvidia just released a new driver, version 419.67 for your GPU. You can try upgrading to that and see if that helps.

If that doesn't work, try rolling back to an older driver version like driver 416.94. You can find a download for those drivers here.

Alright, I tried updating the driver, still no luck, then i tried rolling the driver back to version 416.95, and then to 417.35 which did not work either, the rest of the versions I have tried, while having this problem as I updated the driver whenever a new update was released with NVIDIA Experience.. I am still at a loss @sean.heasley..

Hi @Anonymous

Darn ok.

If you open the Start menu and type Device Manager then go to Display Adapters is there another onboard GPU like an Intel HD card for example?

If so, can you try disabling that then launch Maya?

Thank you so much @sean.heasley you are truly a champ! That seemed to have fixed it! I can now see the grid fully, and operate the software like a charm! This is awesome! Thanks again! 🙂
