Maya on Ubuntu 24.04

Hi there!

I'd like to ask for a solution to those who are using Maya in Linux Ubuntu 24.04. The compatibility reached Maya 2024, but from Maya 2025 on, I don't find any possibility to run the authorization module properly, and thus it doesn't even start. Some students whom I teach work in Maya 2026 and I can't open their files in previous Maya software. The error that appears when I execute Maya (even before the first screen loading the software) is:

maya: Autodesk MAYA 2026

A licensing error occurred that Autodesk systems were not able to handle for you. Please contact Autodesk Customer Support for help in resolving this error.

adlsdkAuthorize returned with error code: ADLSDK_STATUS_ADLS_NOT_FOUND

The default location for log files to help diagnose the issue is:
"/usr/tmp/MayaCLM-04-09-2025.log"

I've done a research of some sites and groups and people is having the same troubles, with no reasonable answer for it. Please, could you help us running Maya under Ubuntu?

I'm sorry I don't have the answer, but I just want to chime in that I'm also on Ubuntu 24 and unable to install Maya.

Maya 2026: Was able to install, but hit the same error. I see on the install page it says "Please be advised that this installation method is incompatible with user license setups." which I'm assuming is the issue. Can I set up a license server for just myself? Or will Maya 2026 be updated eventually to allow user licenses?

Maya 2025 and older: Cannot complete all install steps, because libfam0 is not available on Ubuntu 24. Others may be unavailable too, but I haven't checked all the required packages.
